Please reach us at ron@Folkmusicnotebook.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Of course! We are happy to review submissions for potential airplay on our channel. We hope that you are familiar with the channel, we play folk and acoustic music, contemporary and traditional. That is a pretty diverse description, but folk music is really a diverse term. There are no guarantees that we will play everything we receive, but we will gladly listen.
Please understand, due to the volume of material we receive, we struggle to reply to requests for opinions about your music, and we cannot tell you exactly when your music might be heard. We are a 24/7 operation, the bulk of which is our rotating playlist. It is a large playlist and we try to avoid repetition to give our listeners a larger and ultimately more enjoyable listening experience. You won't hear the same 10 songs repeated over and over!
We operate in a digital environment, and MP3 files are used to broadcast, so we prefer receiving files. You can send a download link to ron@folkmusicnotebook.com and we will download and review for potential addition to our playlists.
Yes, however please understand - in order to broadcast your music, we will have to encode your music to a file as outlined above. As it is a more labor-intensive process, there is often a delay in the process, plus it takes longer for us to actually listen to a CD these days. If you wish to send a CD anyway, the address is:

The answer is no. We don't care if you are an established artist with a large following, or if you are a relative newbie. The quality of your music is what counts.
If you listen to our channel, we pride ourselves with airing a wide range of songs and artists, with legendary artists regularly being played back to back with emerging artists. Quality is what counts.
We do ask that you send us broadcast worthy material. Songs recorded on your iPhone usually won't cut it. Clear recordings with no background noise, vocals that are recorded clean and easy to understand are critical.
