When connecting to our radio stream, your IP address will be sent to our radio service provider in order for us to track listening trends and provide licensing bodies with royalty reports. Once our service provider receives your IP it is immediately anonymized, deleted and becomes untraceable. This data is never sold on or passed to other companies.

The Folk Music Notebook iOS App does not collect any user data when installed or launched on your device.

The Folk Music Notebook Android App does not collect any user data during use. In order to provide audio control during Phone App use, the App will monitor the 'state' of the phone App (Idle, in call, call ended) if applicable on your device. At no point will the App be able to listen in or derive phone numbers or data. 

The Android App also requires access to local storage. This is to store it's configuration for faster launch times.

FolkMusicNotebook.com does not collect user personal identification information automatically. User personal information like name, email address and message is collected only when user voluntarily submit through our contact form. We may reply to user via email in return of their messages. However, we collect these information to enhance user experience.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, IP address, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site.

Information we may receive from third parties:

We may receive information about you from third parties. For example, if you access our websites or Service through a third-party connection or log-in, for example, through Facebook Connect, by “following,” “liking,” adding the Folk Music Notebook application, linking your account to the Folk Music Notebook Service, etc., that third party may pass certain information about your use of its service to Folk Music Notebook. This information could include, but is not limited to, the user ID associated with your account (for example, your Facebook UID), an access token necessary to access that service, any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any information you have made public in connection with that service. If you allow us access to your friends list, your friends’ user IDs, and your connection to those friends, may be used and stored to make your experience more social, and to allow you to invite your friends to use our Service as well as provide you with updates if and when your friends join Folk Music Notebook. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to the Folk Music Notebook Service. You may also unlink your third party account from the Service by adjusting your settings on the third party service.

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others.

Ads appear on our site may be delivered to Users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. Some of the ads may be served by Google. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve advertisements to Users based on their visit to our Site.
